The 35TH Annual Christmas Parade will be an "OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS." Go online to download a registration form for Maine's largest Christmas Parade.
The "First Ever" Festival of Trees will also help kick off the holiday season here in the Oxford Hills! The event will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 25 to 27 at the Four Seasons Function Center on Main Street in South Paris. The Chamber is currently accepting registrations from local businesses, organizations, groups and individuals to submit a decorated tree that will be raffled off to the public at the end of the event. Oxford Plains Speedway On Saturday, October 15, the PASS Super Late Models return to the Speedway for their second visit of 2011. Joining them will be the Mods, Sportsman, Strictlys and Wildcats and New England Mini Stock tour. Plan on being there at 1 pm because racing in Maine concludes for the season after this event.
Harvest Hill Farms The new "Field of Dreams' Weekday Fun Park is open at the home of Pumpkin Land and the Big Corn Maze Adventure. The scaled down version of Pumpkin Land will be open weekdays Tuesday through Friday from noon to 5 pm. Go to www.harvesthillfarms.com
Western Foothills Land Trust The season finale timed 5K run/walk series on the grass trails at the Roberts Farm Preserve will be held on Sunday, October 23 at 10 a.m. rain or shine. Roctoberfest at the Farm sponsored by Harvest Hill Farms. Maine's top heritage rock band Coo's Canyon will be doing concert/dances at the farm on Saturday evenings during the month of October from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
