 CCC Mascot Name Contest

Yes...you read the title correctly! We need our cross-country skiing community and friends to help us find a name for our NEW full size mascot coming to life this October...just in time for the two domestic FIS World Cup events!

Here's how to participate:

1. Post your name suggestion on CCC's Facebook Page (maximum 1 suggestion per person)

2. You MUST be a friend of CCC on Facebook to enter the contest

Here's a hint to help you find a name...The mascot will be a "very cool looking" animal to keep within the Jackrabbit theme! Check out our teaser image below!

We will narrow all your great suggestions to a short list, and announce the winning name at the Frozen Thunder 2013 Season Launch in mid-october, an innovative project that stock-piles snow at the Canmore Nordic Centre to create a 2km ski loop in the fall!

Eva Hornyansky Hired as CCC's New CAD Administration Assistant

Cross Country Canada is pleased to announce the part time hiring  of Eva Hornyansky as CCC's new Coach and Athlete Development Administrative Assistant (CADAA). Highly organized and meticulous, Eva brings a wealth of experience as the Jackrabbit Coordinator and a board member for the Canmore Nordic Ski Club.

In her role as CADAA, Eva will be generally responsible for administrative support for CCC's Athlete and Coaching development system. Her primary focus will be assisting delivery of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and Athlete development programs. Eva will also assist with managing the accounting and inventories, assist project teams with the development of publications, maintain a database of coaching development data and support the maintenance of program area content on CCC's web site.
