Canadian Cross-Country Ski Athletes to Fuel Up with eload
Canada's cross-country ski athletes have fueled up in their drive to the podium this spring, thanks to a new official supplier of sport nutrition products, Cross Country Canada announced on Friday.
Eload, a Canadian-based company who is a leader in the athlete world for their physiological electrolyte profiles, high glycemic indices, high gastrointestinal tolerability, light flavours and low sweetness levels, has joined Cross Country Canada's supplier pool with its commitment to distribute sport nutrition products to the National Ski Team over the next year.

Want one? Get your skiers aged 10-12 years old enrolled in the Track Attack program where they will:
- Develop fitness through active play, games and activities.
- Have fun
- Have the opportunity to be part of a sports "team"

- Expose themselves to a variety of "adventure-based" cross-country ski activities

National Talent Squad 2012-13 Athletes Announcement
CCC is proud to name the following 13 male and 11 female athletes to the National Talent Squad for the 2012-13 season.
The program is delivered by the four National Development Centres across Canada. The goal of the National Talent Squad (NTS) program is to help prepare athletes for a training centre in the future. Athletes named to the team will be provided with opportunities to train and work with National Development Centre coaches and athletes. Their respective club coaches are also encouraged to attend these training opportunities to learn from training centre coaches.

A CCC Skill Development Camp is an integral part of a progressive club athlete development system. Camps can help children learn ski related technical skills, teamwork, self reliance and good eating habits. They can facilitate the recruitment of new participants, motivate, promote friendships, influence lifestyle choices and provide a positive introduction to activities that encourage physical fitness.

CCC Welcomes Jeremy Bernard as Marketing Coordinator 
Jeremy brings a strong marketing background to his role with Cross Country Canada, with more than 12 years of related experience with organizations ranging from technology startups to some of Canada's largest companies. He is a strong communicator and possesses a deep understanding of Web technologies and strategies. Jeremy's work experience is complemented by an MBA from Saint Mary's University. He is also an avid cross country skier and supporter of amateur sports.

The Athlete Development Matrix is CCC's new athlete development model. Coaches will find specific guidance on athlete development for each stage of development, specific benchmarks and standards to aim for as well as additional resources.

Paralympic Power House Robbi Weldon Looks to London
At 36, the single mother of two young children from Thunder Bay, Ont. is on top of the world in Paralympic sports in both the summer and winter versions of the Games.
"I'm definitely living my dreams right now," says Weldon, who will compete for Canada in London this August and September as a favourite in several para-cycling events.
"I could look back and feel bad about being visually impaired but I don't because it's opened up so many other opportunities," says Weldon, who competed in the 2010 Vancouver games as a Nordic skier.

Ski to School Scholarship - Deadline: June 30th, 2012
This scholarship is to be awarded to an individual who combines excellence in both academics and cross country skiing.The scholarship has been funded by Canadian university alumni cross country skiers and other interested parties to encourage students to continue to combine excellence in both academics and cross country skiing as they proceed with their post secondary education.

Colette Bourgonje named Aboriginal Champion by Sask Sport Inc.
Since 1992, Colette has attended nine different Paralympic games - in Barcelona, Tignes-Albertville, Lillehammer, Atlanta, Nagano, Sydney, Salt Lake City, Torino and Vancouver - and has won ten medals. Since 2000 she has focused on sit-ski, but she competed in both summer and winter events prior to that.
