CCC teams up with Haywood Securities for fundraising golf tournament Credit: Matt Jeffries
Canadian National Team Skiers and Cross Country Canada staff had the pleasure of joining Haywood Securities at Carnmoney Golf Club on September 8th for Haywood's 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament in support of the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation.
Tournament participants were greeted on the 16th tee by Olympians Devon Kershaw, Ivan Babikov and Perianne Jones. Golfers were presented with a Cross Country Canada gift package which included signed memorabilia and were each given the opportunity to have photos taken with the skiers and their World Cup medals. A CCC prize package featuring an official NST parka was also included among the evening's silent auction prizes.
"What a great event Haywood put on for the Alberta Children's Hospital. The weather was stunning and everybody out there was having a great time. It was nice to come out and support Haywood in their event, as they've become like family after over 10 years of generous game-changing support for our team and to share such a wonderful day with great friends, all for a meaningful cause, was fantastic." commented National Ski Team member Devon Kershaw.
The event raised more than $85,000 for the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation, with proceeds to be re-invested in the hospital and child health needs in the Calgary area.

New cccski.com goes live Credit: Wanda Bogdane
In the middle of September, CCC launched a new website in hopes of improving communication to the electronic world. A substantial overhaul including the site's look, search function, content (with particular focus on updating the French content) and features was completed over the last year.
"A lot of work has gone into this site and I'd like to thank the volunteers and staff at CCC for the many hours they've dedicated to the project. We hope the new site provides visitors with a truly enjoyable online experience." said executive director Davin MacIntosh.
The updated site has seen a lot of traffic since its launch, with more than 5,500 visitors viewing it on September 15 alone. As you check out the new www.cccski.com, if you encounter any issues, we appreciate your patience and encourage you to email us with the page of issue.
Hint: remember to re-bookmark your favourite pages
And thank you to those who have sent in feedback:
"Je tiens à vous féliciter de la qualité du site Web en français! Bravo!"

Quote of the month
"I almost can't express how impressed I am with Kikkan Randall. A class act and awesome leader, I'm pretty sure it's extremely rare to find an international superskier who has a crystal globe at home from the World Cup overall standings, World Champs medal and multiple World Cup wins and still cares so so much about selflessly supporting and encouraging her competition and fellow skiers."
Chandra Crawford reflecting on US Ski Team Member Kikkan Randall
