Dear ,
Wouldn't it be great if we could somehow magically erase the parts of our past that hurt us? Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could escape painful memories that still wander around in the halls of our minds? For many, this process has occurred. Many people have found healing and new life in Christ. Though this certainly is not anything magic, and often requires a lot of hard work, those of us who know Jesus have hope of freedom from the haunting memories of our past and now can look forward to a future of joy and peace.
For many people, however, this is certainly not the case. And, whether we like it or not, until our past is healed, it continues to follow us, or maybe lead us.

For the hundreds of thousands of Romanian children who endured the inhumane conditions, abuse, and absence of any loving caregiver, the scars are very deep. Certainly not all orphans endured the conditions depicted in this video, but all suffered abuse and neglect. No one escaped that. It was just part of orphanage life. And now, though adults, the mental, and sometimes physical scars are very apparent. | Romania: The orphans from back then | European Journal

We continue to seek new ways of bringing hope to adult orphans here in Romania. God has a plan for these precious lives! We are praying about and considering a resource center for those recovering from life in the state orphanages. We don't know yet exactly what this would look like, but we envision a place where those with no direction could find direction. Would you please pray with us?
We know that God is the only answer for these precious ones. But God chooses to work through His people. Our goal is to empower the local people to reach their own. Though many believe that there is no hope for these young people, we want to help them see that "all things are possible to them that believe"! We have seen that providing an example can inspire others to action. As we love adult orphans, others begin to love adult orphans, too. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. There is a world full of needs and God is fully capable of restoring beauty to broken lives. As we all do our part, God's Kingdom comes into our midst. Going for Him, Stephanie and Leslie
