January 3rd is D-Day...our departure for India. Please pray for God's protection as we transition to India. Every time we enter and leave countries, we sense spiritual opposition. Would you please cover us in prayer during this time?
Greetings!

We hope that this holiday season has been a time of joy with those that you love. It has been great for us to spend time with friends and family. We always look forward to our time at home. If you ever want to appreciate your church more, just spend an extended period away from home, worshipping in a different language and culture. It makes time at home that much sweeter. It seems that our two months at home has passed so quickly, but we have to keep our eyes "set on things above". Staying focused on the things of eternity leads us out of our comfort zones and into places of darkness where we find the suffering, lost and dying.

Our time at home also provided reminders of the nearness of eternity. The passing of a dear friend and our stateside secretary, Gary Fink, was a clear reminder that life is short and our time should be used to bring attention to our Savior and Friend, Jesus Christ. Gary, an anointed worshipper, invested himself in the Kingdom whole-heartedly. He exemplified the saying "It's better to burn out than rust out". May we all live our lives so passionately that the love of God burns out of control in and through us. We will miss Gary but we know he has found the perfect place of worship, face to face with the Lord.
There has been an obvious lack of pictures in the newsletter. We promise to do better next month. December's big event for Stephanie was a tonsillectomy. Pictures are available for those who would like to see, but it seemed wise to not include them here. Leslie's big event of December was a mission trip to Reynosa, Mexico, where she was involved in construction, evangelism, and children's ministry. The needs are great all around the world. What a priveledge it is to serve "the least of these".
We want to wish all of you a passionate, committed, and exciting New Year as you serve the Lord unreservedly and choose His will as your own. May God bless you with new ideas for reaching the lost in your neighborhood, at work, in your city, and on your planet.

Blessings to you all,

Stephanie and Leslie
