Greetings!
Hello from Texas!
We arrived back in the States on November 7th, a day later than our
scheduled return. Due to an unexpected encounter with the sin nature of two men
while en route to the airport, Leslie's laptop bag was stolen. It held not only
her laptop and all other valuables, but also her passport. Thanks to the US
Embassy, a temporary passport was issued the same day and we were able to leave the following day. Two main observations came from this encounter: God can and does protect us from
physical harm, and mankind is in need of a Savior.

Our departure from Braila,
Romania, was
bittersweet. We are very excited about going to India to work alongside Pastor
Rufus and Abundant Life Ministerial Associates as we minister to
lepers and widows. But, we also sensed the sadness of leaving behind the
precious friends that God has given us in Braila.
It is amazing how God connects our hearts to others, and we are looking forward
to returning to Braila
in June to serve alongside the leaders of Diaconia Clinic as they host
short-term missions teams all summer. What a blessing it is to serve with such
dedicated and gifted leaders from around the world as God builds His kingdom
through them.

Shortly before leaving Romania,
we traveled back to Ocna Mures,
Romania, to
visit friends and "family" there. We were thrilled to hear about the growth of
the outreach to the elderly of the Ocna Mures area. The elderly of two new
villages are now receiving hot meals, monthly fellowship meetings are being
held, and healthy doses of the love of Jesus are being dispensed. Nicu and
Caprice Gatea, along with several other committed servants, are sharing the
Good News of Jesus Christ with the lonely, sick, and often forgotten elderly of
Romania.
Please continue to pray for them as they stretch to meet the needs of those
around them. If you would like to be a part of
the outreach to the elderly, gifts can be made through Love Through Me
at the address below.

Since our return to the States, we have traveled in Wyoming and South
Dakota to visit friends and share in churches about
Love Through Me. We want to thank those of you who blessed us by hosting us,
feeding us that good South Dakota
beef, and showing us the sights. We had a great time and feel privileged to
call you all our friends.

Due to the recent terror attacks in Mumbai, some people have asked if we will still go to India in January. We believe that being in the middle of God's will is always the safest place to be. There are still widows and lepers suffering in India. We know God has a plan to bless them and we are so glad to be a part of this. Some have said we are courageous, but we know it is only God's grace and our faith in His ability that gives us this strength. Before our departure on January 3rd
to South India, we will continue to share
about Love Through Me in order to raise both awareness and support. God has
been so faithful to provide for all of our needs, as well as the needs of the
ministries and outreaches supported by Love Through Me. Thank you for being a
blessing all over the world! If you would like to partner with us to reach the
unreached and touch the untouchable, please let us know. Together, we are
working for His glory.
Going for Him,
Stephanie and Leslie | |
