Greetings!

The time is flying by as we prepare for the new assignment that God has placed before us. With are both excited about the rapidly approaching move to India, and sad to leave those in Romania who have become so precious to us. As we begin to understand more clearly God's direction for Love Through Me International Ministries, it is exciting to watch how God is connecting us with particular leaders around the world who have a God given vision and need our help "jump starting" what the Lord has put in their hearts. Though this may not be "the norm" for missionaries, we believe that God has a plan and is going to use our obedience to bring hope to desperate people as the Kingdom of God touches their lives. We are thrilled to be a part of His plan. Please pray for us as we make this transition and continue to learn and grow in ministry.

Team Tyler

Last week, a team of doctors, nurses, support staff, and evangelists from Rose Heights Church of God made a great investment in the lives of some very needy people in the Braila area. Though it would seem that free medical consultations and medicine would be  welcomed, what a struggle it was to coordinate with local village authorities! In one village, the mayor welcomed the free clinic, but later informed us that we were not welcome. In another village, the mayor refused to make a decision without consulting with the Orthodox priest. Though we requested (repeatedly) a meeting with the priest, this never occurred. At the last minute, the mayor informed us that we would not be allowed to use the public meeting building. Along with other various problems which we encountered, the hard control of the priests and resistance to evangelical Christianity was evident.

But the Lord provided the villages and the patients. The clinics were held in villages where Romanian missionaries have been working among their own people. Many people were blessed with free medical care and medications. Every patient was touched and hugged, and each person heard the Good News of a loving Saviour. During the week, souls were brought into the Kingdom. It was a privilege to work alongside native missionaries, Pastor Peter and Pastor Lucian. We are trusting the Lord to use these outreaches to soften the hearts of many people in the villages and show them that  evangelical Christians are not to be feared, as they have been told.

Not all of our patients came to the clinics, however. This little boy, Ionuti, happened to be in the right place at the right time to receive the treatment that he needed for his infected hand. Ionuti comes to Pastor Peter's church sometimes and came over to say hello when he saw Peter and the medical team in a local store. His hand, which he had cut on a wire some days before, was wrapped in a dirty rag and obviously infected. We had met Ionuti recently at a children's outreach and had watched as the other children bullied him and took his balloons. Our hearts had been broken for him before, and again our hearts were broken by this precious little boy who is clearly neglected and living in extreme poverty. Leslie and Peter cleaned his hand, bandaged him up, and found some antibiotics for him. Peter took him home with a smile on his face and a bag of food in his hand. May the Lord use these small acts of kindness to change Ionuti's family and his life.

Many seeds were planted during the week of these clinics- seeds of kindness and love, seeds of hope and encouragement. All of these are seeds of the Kingdom of God. Please pray with us that these seeds will bear much fruit and that His kingdom will come near to Romania.

Laboring with you in the Lord's vineyards,

Stephanie and Leslie
