Business Newsletter Masthead

September
2012
Greetings!

Whether you have children back in school or not, post-Labor Day always feels like things really get started for the year in September. I hope your "new year" is off to a great start.

I love that I get to work with different organizations all the time, and in the process, always learn something new. This month was no different, and I'm happy to share my lessons learned while helping a client promote her book with video. I think you'll relate when you think about making your next video for your company's product or service.

Speaking of learning, I was glad to share my tips and tricks with a group of inspiring business owners at this year's 2012 Power Conference - Women Doing Business! in Rockville, MD, and thought you could benefit from the handout I shared with them.

And if you want to be truly inspired (or humbled!), check out 12-year-old entrepreneur Gabrielle Williams, who was sharing her jewelry wares and lofty ambitions at the conference. Incredible things can happen when you set your mind to it. Hope they happen for you too this month!

Warmly,

  Debbie

Bringing Her Book to Life

Connie Krupin needed something more dynamic than a simple website to help bring her book, "A Time to Be Born: A Jewish Baby Journal," to life. She chose to create a video. It allowed her to share her mission for preserving family history and and making the baby journal more than just a book, but an experience.  It also gave her a vehicle for others to see how passionate she is about this project. We think you'll agree that her enthusiasm and energy is contagious.

Raving Fan

One of the best business decisions I made was hiring DMB Pictures to create a video for my book.  Debbie really listened to me and used her extraordinary skill to translate what I wanted to express into a selling tool that reaches people in a way that websites alone can't do.

Now my customers can see the heart & soul behind the work. That's powerful!

Promote Your Product With Video

When you use video to sell a product like a blender or a teeth whitening system, a viewer can easily see how fast you made that fruit smoothie or how dramatically you changed someone's smile. But what about a book? How do you get people excited about an inanimate object through video?
