Dear Reader,
In the Western world, we live with a fundamental assumption of scarcity, the unintentional mindset that there is not enough for all of us and that we ourselves are not enough. Not rich enough. Not pretty enough. Not good enough. Not educated enough. Not enough jobs. When we unpack this assumption, there are three central myths that have come to define the very way we live in the world: 1) there is not enough; 2) more is better and 3) that's just the way it is!
Lynne Twist's classic book, The Soul of Money, an insightful reflection on money as a spiritual currency, introduced the context of sufficiency to me and thousands of other readers when it was published in 2003. Sufficiency is a conscious choice about how we view our lives and circumstances, an act of making known to ourselves our existing resources -- and our inner resources. Since 2003, The Soul of Money has inspired a global movement of people dedicated to living and working from the context of sufficiency rather than in the rat race of scarcity, trying to always get more and have more.
My guests, Jen Cohen and Gina LaRoche of Seven Stones Consulting, have made a thriving business of helping people and organizations learn how to live and work from sufficiency. Please join Jen, Gina and me to explore the radical difference a sufficiency mindset can make in your life.
Their vision changes the very definition of what success means at a time when we really need a new American dream.
Sincerely,
Kate Ebner CEO Nebo Company |

What is enough? Enough time... enough wealth... enough material possessions... even enough self-development? When we realize, even for a moment, that all we need is right in front of us, the possibilities for our lives begin to shift dramatically. Seven Stones Leadership founders, Jen Cohen and Gina LaRoche, share an alternative approach to the pursuit of endless abundance that can show us all how to live together more sustainably, happily and harmoniously in spite of lean times. Join Host Kate Ebner and her guests for a discussion of a powerful - even radical - new context for the American dream: the context of exquisite sufficiency. We will explore how believing in scarcity drives us in ways that do not serve us - and how sufficiency can be the antidote to anxiety, fear, distraction and shame. Jen and Gina will help you see a future you can believe in for your own life, one that will lead to a sustainable life for all. Learn More. Missed the Live Show? On nostaliga...
Nostalgia won't get you very far. Nostalgia needs an offset. Hope is nostalgia's antidote. Hope looks to the future and is aspirational. You can't and must not forget where we have been, but don't try to recreate the past - instead, look to the future.
