Penryn, CA - Stand Up for California! is pleased to announce that its new websiteis up and running and ready to be a resource for all information on gambling issues in California. The redesign of www.standupca.org  includes many additional features that make the website easier to navigate and gather
information.

www.standupca.org  is a one-of a-kind resource to find archives of documents related to gaming in California. The new links domicile Memorandum of Understanding between Tribes and Counties, tribal-state gaming compacts, letters of comment on environmental issues or land acquisitions from the governor and a comprehensive section on laws pertaining to gambling in the state. Besides a list of controversial off reservations projects are the tribes seeking federal recognition for the establishment of a casino. Each arm of the gaming industry has its own page with related reports, law reviews, documents and policy letters. Additional information will continue to be added. So visit often.

"This new website is an important tool for anyone looking for information on
issues related to gambling in California," said Stand Up for California! Director Cheryl Schmit. "It is the only place where you can find such a comprehensive database that provides an institutional memory of the growth of gambling in California. I hope it encourages citizens to become more aware of the news and history of this evolving and ever-expanding industry in our state."

Stand Up For California! is a statewide organization with a focus on gambling
issues affecting California, including tribal gaming, card clubs, horse racing,
charitable gaming and the state lottery.
