A DCDT Preconference Workshop: Making Summary of Performance Meaningful & Managable Wednesday, October 28, 2009 1pm - 4pm The Westin Savannah
Are you struggling to make Summary of Performance (SOP) that are both meaningful and manageable?
Join Audrey Trainor, Gary Clark, and James Patton at a preconference workshop on The Summary of
Performance System (SOPS), a software program designed to help
educators, families, and young adults develop summaries of performance.
A copy of the SOPS program will be provided to each registered participant at no additional cost.
This
preconference
workshop is designed for teachers,
transition specialists and other transition-related professionals.
Individualized
summaries of performance provide important information for students,
families, and educators to utilize when planning and implementing
postsecondary opportunities to live independently, work, and continue
education. The presenters will use cases studies to illustrate the
features of
the SOPS program that correspond to components of summaries of
performance.
Participants will also be encouraged to work through the SOPS,
generating a sample SOP for one of their students, applying and
adapting information gained throughout the presentation.
