PhD Progress
We received some fantastic news while we were traveling to Colorado. I (Craig) was granted a full scholarship for my PhD tuition for the fall semester! This is a wonderful provision, and a confirmation that we are right where the Lord wants us to be for now. Right now I am busy trying to get a head start on the copious amount of reading I have before the semester starts!

| Cru Critique
 Thank you for praying for our time at the Campus Crusade for Christ staff conference. We met for 9 days at Colorado State University as we do every two years. Brigitte and I celebrated 25 years on the staff of CCC at a special Heritage Night
This year the big news was that Campus Crusade for Christ in the US changed its name to "Cru". (Coincidentally, the heavy metal rock band Mötley Crüe changed their name to "Mötley Campus Crusade for Christ!") :-)
The media reacted quickly with charges that we were ashamed of the name of Christ. Nothing could be further from the truth. The name change was to enable our ministry to be more effective reaching people for Christ. The words "Campus" and "Crusade" were the problems, not the name of Christ. Most ministries and churches do not include the name Jesus or Christ, and are still effectively representing His kingdom. In New Zealand our ministry has already changed its name to "Tandem Ministries."

| Team Thankfulness
With all of the transition we have gone through this past year, I (Brigitte) have been reflecting back to our original call when as university students we responded to the challenge to invest our career in full-time Christian service. It is a great privilege to labor as our full-time job in the work God has for us. You our team of faithful donors and prayer support make all of this possible as you give to the Lord. Thank you from our hearts.
