Hi!

Sorry about the delay. We've been traveling, but we wanted to give you an update from the road.

The Amazing Race!

1.    We flew about 30 hours from Singapore to the exact opposite side of the globe. Its as far as you can fly without starting back again.
2.    We've slept in seven different beds ... not counting airplane seats!
3.    We fed alligators in Orlando, Florida. And we met with Campus Crusade for Christ leadership. I should point out there is no similarity between those two events. They are completely unrelated!
4.    Family, friends, our church, and supporters welcomed us to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where we celebrated Diego's 10th birthday. Singapore is the most humid environment on earth, and New Mexico is the driest. So we had dry skin and chapped lips. But the spicy food helped clear up any sinus problems.
5.    We have arrived in Dallas, Texas in time for the 4th of July. We intend to celebrate by consuming a lot of Texas' favorite beverage. (Its iced tea! ... What did you think it was!)

The Support.

I was walking in to our church in Albuquerque with a friend, and he casually remarked. "Oh, we're going to increase our support to you guys." I cannot describe what an encouragement that is. I mean, I can understand people supporting us when we were moving to the mission field. But we are a long way from having enough support to return to Singapore ... and do not have a clear direction for the future. Its humbling to see God meet our needs this way. And its a picture of grace.

Our summer expenses are over 65% covered now ... again, God's grace. So thank you for your prayers and gifts. Please continue to pray for the decisions we need to make for the future. Brigitte and I need to sense God's clear direction ... and we need to be in agreement. (Not necessarily a foregone conclusion!)

Grocery Item of the Month!

NM gcThe "White Oyster" label on last month's Grocery Item was a red herring. The grocery item was actually ... mushrooms (not red herrings)!

This month's grocery item is a staple in the state of New Mexico. Can you identify it?

Thank you!
