Family Update
"All we need is a miracle!" I was talking with some people at EAST about our need for a car and the impossibility of purchasing one. To my surprize a student said, "I might know somebody who can help." She connected us with a Singaporean moving to Canada for study who needed a car-sitter! Can you believe it? We can zip around Singapore until May 2010 in our "miracle-car"! Thank you for praying for our kids. They are doing well at school and have started their extra-curricular activities. They recently had a day off school for the Muslim holiday celebrating the end of Ramadan.

Class Feedback
My position on evaluations is perfectly clear . . . I don't like 'em . . . Never have. I do not need someone else to make me feel terrible. I do a perfectly good job on my own! I wish those who feel the need to "bless" me with their wisdom would just lie. A small fib may be justified, and even required to spare my feelings. That is why I love the evaluations here at EAST.
After each quarter, our students can write personal, anonymous, encouraging notes to their lecturer. These are wonderful, because they present a filter. Students who want to say something negative, just don't write anything! I get all the positive, encouraging feedback, and none of the negative! It's a win-win in my book. Here is a sampling (remember English is their second language):
- Thank you for your passion of teaching. I learned good messages from your class.
- All lectures are helpful to me. All are appropriate for me to cope with.
- Good lecturer. I enjoyed this class really.
- I thank the Lord for Craig who gives us good lessons. His teaching is clear and consised. He is also friendly and approachable.
- I really appreciate you for teaching us, especially thank you for sharing your family story.
- Your mastery of the book of Genesis is amazing; excellent.
- Respected Sir Craig. I am appreciate your teaching. God may help and bless your ministry.
- Thank you for your patience with us.
Here are some from Brigitte's class:
- When I heard your testimony, I thought God would lead me through it, just as he had done for you!
- You have been great friends to me and when I am in need, you lent me a helping hand. I am deeply touched by that.

Grocery Item of the Month!
A lot of people did very well last month in the game: "Milk, or Not-Milk". Picture A was 'Not-Milk', and picture B was 'Milk'.
I'm not even sure what question to ask about this month's Grocery Item. Help! What is this? |
