Hi!

April has been a busy month as the quarter is winding down. So, I'm asking for your help with a little grading!

Guess who won the FunD Run for the International Community School Elementary division?

Diego did great and received a McDonalds ice-cream cone for his victory.

Addie and I skated instead of running. We were nowhere near the winners . . . but we did finish!
Thailand Trip

The Thai New Evidence that Demands a Verdict is being printed right now! I have been working on this project for over two years! I will be traveling to Thailand May 7-16 for a Congress of church leaders where we will give away 4000 copies to Thai pastors.

After being involved in all the behind-the-scenes work for so long, I'm very excited to be a witness when the end-users receive these books. I will share the stories and photos I collect with you. Pray for safe travel with the recent upheavals in Bangkok.
Please help my grading!

Grading papers is always fun when English is a second (or third) language. In my student's papers I have found some keen insights, along with some creative phrasing. Help me grade these quotes:
  • "Paul was a firm realist. He had his feet firmly planted on terracotta."
  • "We must be diligent to fight against the attacks from the world, fresh, and the devil."
  • "The letter is soaked with expressions of joy and thanksgiving, which reaches a summit in the Apostles most exuberant exegesis of the crucified life..."
  • "Do we have to reinvent the wheels?"
  • "...the Lord and the holy angles."
  • "My focus is to highlight that forgiveness can be path into a hostile society."
  • "When inflation is up almost everything is expensive: transportation and stable food."
  • "...patients, love and hope"
  • "Paul said in confidence that all that happened to him will turn out for his deliverance."
Prayer Update

Thanks for your prayers for my student Michael. He recovered quite well from his motorcycle accident. But he woke up with intense pain at 2:00am one morning with what turned out to be a burst appendix!

Somehow he rode on his motorbike to the Emergency Room and promptly passed out on the ER floor! The doctor's removed his appendix, and later told him he was literally between life and death! This week he was strong enough to return to class and give his presentation entitled . . . "Rejoice in (the face of) death"!
Ly fruitFruit of the Month

Last month's fruit was . . . Longan.

This month's fruit looks similar, ripens at the same time of year, and starts with the same letter. But the rind is a different color. Can you identify this fruit?
Thank you!
