Updates
I wanted to give you updates to several items we asked you to pray for recently.

We wrote about one of our students, Bataa, from Mongolia, whose sister needed an urgent liver transplant. On the day before Bataa was to tell the Doctor he would be the living donor, another matching liver became available. The surgery has been carried out successfully and Bataa's sister is recovering here in Singapore. Brigitte will be mentoring Bataa's wife (Ganaa) this coming quarter. She is really looking forward to being involved more personally in ministry.

Addie had a great time in Beijing. She loved being treated more like a "teenager" and less like a "child". She loved the conference, made some friends, and didn't lose anything. Despite her parents not being there to nag her, she remembered to eat meals, go to sleep and take an occasional shower!

My Missionary Anthropology class at EAST has finished and I have started teaching a new course on Paul's letters at Singapore Bible College. I have 21 students from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Kenya, the Netherlands, the Philippines and Vietnam. I'm loving this class - I enjoy teaching exposition from the Bible, and there is a lot of good interaction in the class. After Chinese New Year I will start teaching another class on Paul's letters, this time at EAST. So far I have 16 students from four countries enrolled for that class.

Thank you for praying for our financial support. Though giving was down from last year, which was expected due to the economy, God has provided through some surprising ways for this next year. We are grateful that He continues to meet our needs. |
Fruit of the Month
For those of you keeping score at home, here are the results so far:
Durian Rambutan
Dragon fruit ??
This month's fruit has been called the Queen of the fruits (Durian being the "King"). Can you identify this fruit?
