Our People, Our Communities
Here are just some of the ways
Reliance staff members have been making a difference in Hampton Roads:

Reliance Staffing & Recruiting celebrated the holiday season by donating once again to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia instead of sending out holiday cards. We donated specifically to the Child Nutrition Programs, to help Hampton Roads' next generation grow up strong.

Our Newport News office has been collecting and saving newspapers for the Peninsula SPCA. Newspapers are used to line cages to increase the animals' comfort and absorb some of the mess. If you're on the Peninsula and you've got some extra newspapers to donate, contact the Newport News office

Earlier this month, our Suffolk office gathered up extra clothes and household items and made a donation to Vietnam Veterans of America

Want to get a jump on the new year? Now's a great time to make sure you're posting the correct employment posters. You've got until January 31 to have most of them up, but those first 31 days of the year can go by pretty quickly, especially as you prepare year-end payroll and other statements.

Do you know which posters you need to have up by the 31st and which you can wait until April to post?

Hampton Roads Employment Issues
Over the past few months, several reports from economic and business experts point to a growth of manufacturing jobs in this nation and in Hampton Roads in particular.

One theme that resonates in the national reports is that while manufacturing in the U.S. has been declared deader than disco over the past 20 years (and it has declined in that time, to be sure), the U.S. is still a major international manufacturing power.

Management
All good relationships are built on trust: parents-children, spouses or partners, friends... and managers-employees. "Trust" might seem like a fuzzy, emotional word when applied to business, but it has bottom-line payoffs: lower turnover, higher productivity and efficiency, increased opportunities for creativity and innovation.

So how can you increase the trust your employees have in you?

Client Comments

"Often, at a moment's notice, Reliance has found a staff person that met our needs. Going even a step further, Reliance provided one of their own qualified staff to help out during one of those critical times. The staff at Reliance makes every effort to meet the clients needs by providing a temporary staff that has the skills and qualifications the client needs. I recommend this staffing service highly."
