Thakoon Fall 2010 Fashion Show

Design: Michael Brown, Lot 71 Photos: Skye von der Osten Michael Brown of Lot 71 chose Transformit Dream Spinners for the showing of Thakoon's Fall 2010 line, held at Eyebeam Atelier in New York on Valentine's day. "We were commissioned to transform Eyebeam into a warm, enveloping, womb-like space...." says Michael. About the Dream Spinners, he wrote,"These twisting, curving and arching forms created a layered and glowing entrance for the models to step out from and slip back into..." A video of the show can be seen on Thakoon's website.

All's Well That Ends Well A Delightful, Functional Installation

Design: Transformit Photo: Downer International
Downer International, a manufacturer of exterior tension-fabric structures, asked us to design this installation for the Dublin corporate headquarters of Icon, a global clinical and medical research firm.
A space that is wonderful to walk though may be difficult to work in, as happened here. "The glare and heat from the sun coming through the glazed roof and facade... made working conditions for the receptionist very uncomfortable." Transformit FireFlys provide needed shade in a way that complements the architecture.

A Welcoming Entry

Design: Rob Verrier, Curvwork Photo: Transformit
Environmental graphic designer Rob Verrier of Curvwork worked with us on this recent installation in the lobby of Coastal Women's Healthcare in Scarborough, ME. The printed mesh fabric panel is installed in the frame behind the reception desk, which stands away from the wall. The wall is illuminated by fluorescents mounted in coves on each side. The fabric graphic casts diffused light on the reception desk and the entire entry. Simple, attractive, and cost-effective.
The image is by photographer/ artist Shoshanna White. The building architect is David Lloyd of Archetype, and the interior design finishes are by Rob Verrier and Sally Anderson.

Swiss Design, Small "Footprint"
Design, Rendering and Photo: Moser Design
Moser Design of Lausanne, Switzerland used CAD models available on our website to design an attractive traveling exhibit for Retraites Populaires, a Swiss healthcare company. The client loved both the clean look of the stretched white fabric with graphics, and the ease of assembly.
