A "Blue" Moon on New Year's Eve
Once in a Blue Moon, Dubai Metro station
Tonight, on New Year's Eve, the moon will be full for the second time in December. This uncommon event has been known as a "blue" moon since the time of Shakespeare, and won't occur again on New Year's Eve until 2028. The blue moon has been associated with sadness and predictions of disaster, but I prefer a more optimistic interpretation, inspired by the refrain of Blue Moon, by Rodgers and Hart: "And then there suddenly appeared before me The only one my arms will ever hold I heard somebody whisper please adore me And when I looked the moon had turned to gold"
Once in a Blue Moon is related to Moonray, one of my favorite pieces, and makes a complete circle using two Moonrays. I think of two lovers in a perfect embrace. Thanks for reading, and for your interest and support in the past year. We at Transformit wish you peace, love, success and happiness in the coming year! Cindy
