October 12, 2011
A number of years ago, the Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority board of trustees adopted a policy to provide financial assistance to children who wish to experience and participate in our recreational activities and programs. We realize that the economy is prohibiting some of our area families from participating and we want to ensure that all that want to participate, can. Limited funds are available to residents in the City of Howell, Oceola Township, Marion Township and Genoa Township based on need and information about our scholarship program can be found at the bottom of our homepage at www.howellrecreation.org Many thanks to the Howell Rotary Club for helping to fund these scholarships on a yearly basis.
P.S. If you like what you see, please take a minute to to your friends, family, and other parks and recreation enthusiasts and encourage them to subscribe by joining our mailing list! News and information from the Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority will be forwarded to you each and every Wednesday.
