Beginners welcome! Previous skiing experience and equipment are NOT a prerequisite. We will help you get the right gear and there are options from skis or snowboard to snow shoes to get where you need to be safely.

Travel high into the Rocky Mountains to learn life-saving backcountry and avalanche safety skills, all while making your own film. Expedition lodging includes snow camping and two nights with the group in a rustic cabin. Join us this winter for an unforgettable experience!

Special backcountry highlights (in addition to our film school instructors) include:

Adventure Film School founder, Michael Brown, scouted our backcountry route from Vail Pass to Janet's Cabin last weekend and found a route peppered with great - easy to shoot - tree skiing and sublime views. Check out photos from the scout here.

Check out the write-up in Skiing Magazine, or the Behind-the-Scenes video from 2009 to get a feel for the 2010 adventure.
