 Grand Prize
Each year, members of the IAMF select a filmmaker who has made a significant contribution to the mountain film genre.
This year Michael Brown, president of Serac Adventure Films, received the award. Michael is the first North American as well as the youngest recipient to date. Previous winners include: Gerhard Baur; Leo Dickinson, Fulvio Mariani and others. Thank you to the directors of the mountain film festivals, especially Arlene and Shannon (who carried the rock from Italy), we are deeply honored.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival hosted the award presentation.

$50 Restaurant Gift Certificate

We gave the $50 gift certificate to THE MED in Boulder to one lucky winner - enjoy! We put all of the restaurants on small pieces of paper and drew one. Probably favored Boulder because many of our friends are here.

View a video clip of the drawing.

Several friends filled in the survey with Sherpa's Restaurant in Boulder. We talked to Pemba and paid for five 'Sherpa' beers - one each for the first five people who mention this newsletter. So get a beer while supplies last - you know who you are.

We are doing it again; winner will be announced in our December newsletter.
