Civic Engagement
April 22-25, 2012 - Tucson
Preparations are underway for the spring Town Hall where participants will consider the issue of Civic Engagement. The roles that education, media, technology and community organizations play in civic engagement, and opportunities to improve political engagement in Arizona, are just some of the issues that will be addressed. The background report has been prepared by Arizona State University under the guidance of Kelly Rawlings, Assistant Research Professor with the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University. Youth Town Hall

Students speak up on topic of Civic Engagement

Over 150 college and high school students participated in the Youth Town Hall on Civic Engagement designed to gain input for the statewide Town Hall. The Town Hall convened at the downtown Phoenix campus of Arizona State University on April 11th in conjunction with the Arizona Students' Association and Maricopa Community Colleges.

Comments and conclusions made at the Youth Town Hall will be shared with the participants of this month's full Town Hall on Civic Engagement.
