Housing Arizona
The 93rd Arizona Town Hall, "Housing Arizona," is focusing on all aspects of the housing industry including workforce and affordable housing.
The background report, prepared by The Drachman Institute at the University of Arizona, provides in-depth knowledge about the multiple dimensions of housing issues in Arizona.
After convening community leaders at the Grand Canyon November 2-5, we will publish a summary as well as a full report of consensus-based recommendations and findings, and conduct community outreach programs in cities and towns throughout the state.

Katie Dusenberry Honored at Annual Luncheon

 Katie Dusenberry, executive vice president and treasurer of Horizon Moving Systems, was awarded the 2008 Shirley Agnos Arizona Town Hall Legacy Award at our first annual luncheon, "Inspiring Innovation-Creating Solutions: Using Informed Dialogue to Create Positive Policy Changes." The event was held on September 18 at the Arizona Biltmore.
Governor Janet Napolitano
Governor Janet Napolitano welcomed the crowd of 300 and talked about the value of her Arizona Town Hall experiences in promoting civil discourse.
Michael Waldman
The event featured the 2008 Shirley Agnos Arizona Town Hall Annual Lecture sponsored by Arizona State University in partnership with the University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University. Michael Waldman, former White House chief speechwriter and presidential scholar, spoke about civil discourse in the political arena.
Conference participants consider
key elements of civil discourse.
 The luncheon was held in conjunction with a morning conference, "Can We Talk? Tools for Creating Civil Discourse," presented by Project Civil Discourse, a statewide effort spearheaded by the Arizona Humanities Council, and the Arizona Association for Conflict Resolution, with support from the Conflict Transformation Project, Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at ASU.
