REGARDING SEIR SCOPING MEETING
In our latest Boaters Blast on November 20, 2011 we had mistakenly posted an upcoming Scoping Meeting date within the paragraph heading, "Next Steps?"
We stated there is an SEIR Scoping Meeting scheduled on December 8th, Thursday, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Oops! Unfortunately during our late hour writing we mistakenly posted this time and date. At present there is not a Scoping Meeting scheduled, but you can be sure we will notify you as soon as a Meeting date is scheduled for the SEIR.
We have been in contact with OC Dana Point Harbor regarding the Next Steps? The Department will be reviewing all written comments and responses to the Draft SEIR over the next month or two. They will then compile and provide a written response to the written comments responding to the adequacy and appropriateness of the Draft SEIR.
Again, our apologies!
For the Board of Directors and Advisors,
Rodger Beard, President
The Dana Point Boaters Association

The Dana Point Boaters Association advocates the preservation, enhancement, and expansion of affordable recreational boating resources. We work to improve the family friendly atmosphere and breadth of water-oriented actives we all enjoy in the harbor. We serve as the watchdog by ethically protecting the rights of all boaters and representing them when collective action is most effective. We actively gather information and communicate our views to educate boaters, external interests, and public officials. We build and maintain constructive, working relationships to achieve common goals with other harbor stakeholders. We will pass on our harbor to the next generation of recreational boaters in better condition than it is today.
