Greetings!

Hello and Happy Holidays,

Once again this year, your Dana Point Boaters Association is a proud sponsor of the 36th Annual Dana Point Harbor Boat Parade of Lights.

Again this year we are donating the award for the boat which displays and demonstrates "Most Spirit".  This award includes a cash prize and an engraved plaque for the boat picked as the winning entry.  We are asking for your help in attending the Harbor Parade of Lights and then voting for your favorite boat.  Here are the official rules:

1. "Most Spirit" means anything you want it to mean.  Just come down to the water's edge, someplace in the harbor, on any of the following dates and watch the boat parade:
Friday or Saturday evening, December 10, 11, 17 or 18.  The parade starts at 7:30PM.

2. Place your vote (one vote per DPBA member) by 11:00PM Saturday on December 18th.  We will tabulate the online votes together with the votes by your DPBA officers, Directors and Advisors.  Then announce the "Most Spirit" award winner during ceremonies on Sunday morning, December 19th, 2010.

Note also that the names of five (5) DPBA members will be drawn from the participating voters as winners of an official DPBA T-Shirt.  This is our way of expressing our appreciation for your help in selecting our 2010 "Most Spirit" Award Winner.  Please be sure to properly update your membership information if you wish to participate in the drawing and remember to specify a T-Shirt size.

Please, remember you're boat's Parade Entry Number and/or Boat Name; you will need it to complete the Voting Survey.  Then go to our Boat Parade of Lights Voting Survey by Clicking Here to place your vote.

For the Officers, Directors and Advisors of the Dana Point Boaters Association, we wish you the happiest of holiday seasons.

Respectively,
Steve Carpenter, Secretary

Mission Statement:
The Dana Point Boaters Association advocates the preservation, enhancement, and expansion of affordable recreational boating.  We work to improve the family friendly atmosphere and breadth of water-oriented actives we all enjoy in the harbor.  We serve as the watchdog by ethically protecting the rights of all boaters and representing them when collective action is most effective.  We actively gather information and communicate our views to educate boaters, external interests, and public officials.  We build and maintain constructive, working relationships to achieve common goals with other harbor stakeholders.  We will pass on our harbor to the next generation of recreational boaters in better condition than it is today.
Questions should be directed by email to (Officers@DanaPointBoaters.org).  Or call us at (949) 485-5656 and leave a voice mail and we'll get back to you soon.
