California Coastal Commissioner Sara Wan's
SAVE THE WHALES INITIATIVE
Recently received from our friend at the Coastal Commission was the following message:
I have put together simultaneous demonstrations against the resumption of commercial whaling in 14 coastal counties for May 23rd at 10am. Please go to www.wanconservancy.org/whales to get information and find out where the event is being held in your county.
If you can volunteer to help gather signatures on a petition at the event or help with other things please sign up on our web site. Also, if you would like to get your organization involved in this let me know.
We are also seeking donations, of any amount, to help defray the costs of permits, insurance, printing, etc.
Thanks and let's hope we can stop this.
