"DPBA SETS THE THE RECORD STRAIGHT"
We wanted to bring to our members attention a DPBA drafted
editorial that is currently running in the (November 20-26) Dana Point Times
Editorial section. This rebuttal is in response
to a rather scurrilous editorial by a Mr. Thomas, and came after much thought
by your Board of Directors. While we would prefer not to bore our members with
matters such as this, due to a long running campaign by a small dissident group
to misrepresent the facts important to all boaters, we felt it necessary to
respond. We will continue to defend both
the Boaters of Dana Point, and the DPBA if necessary, for the years to come
because we understand (and know that our loyal members do also) that boaters
have benefited from a strong Association, and desire that in the future.
Please (Click Here) to access our editorial response. Please forward any comments
or questions you may have to Officers@DanaPointBoaters.org
or contact us at 949-485-6565. Our editorial response will also be running in
the next edition of The Log due out next week.
Christmas Boat Parade of Lights - DPBA Trophy

Spirit Award at this year's Dana Point 2009 Boat Parade of Lights, December 11,
12 & 18, 19. The award is for the
boat having the "Most Spirit". Your BOD will be judging each evening of the
parade, with the results announced on Sunday, December 20th. In addition to the trophy, a cash prize of
$250 will be awarded to the winner. We
look forward to another wonderful time during this

season. If you wish to learn more or enter
