Boaters Blast
Dana Point Boaters Association Newsletter |
Greetings!
This is a friendly reminder that tonight is a extremely important meeting that all Dana Point Boaters really need to attend. This meeting is open to everyone and it will be held staring at 7:00 PM in the Cove Room (building closest to street) at the Sailing and Events Center. Tonight we'll get up to speed on the latest status and get geared up for the Coastal Commission hearing on the Harbor Revitalization Plan on October 8th. We'll cover the many critical boating issues that are both closed and open, talk about how the hearing process works and explore talking points that we boaters can use in our 2 or 3 minute public comments.
At risk of stating the obvious, this is the Coastal Commission Hearing we've been getting ready for, for almost 3 years! The full Commission needs to hear what we boaters think needs to happen to make the "revitalized" Dana Point Harbor good for boating. Rest assured, they have heard and will be hearing all about the needs of "regional visitors" (the non marine merchants' customers) that the many special interests are so concerned about.
Please be there tonight!!!
Sincerely, The Board of Directors Your Dana Point Boaters Association
DPBA - Over 500 dues paying boaters who care very much about our beautiful harbor and want to protect Dana Point recreation boating for the generations of boaters to come.
