Cincinnati, OH - December, 2011- CE Power Solutions, LLC is pleased to announce the launch of a new Service Segment to their Smart Grid Solution Offering...Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) Services. Led by Nelson Abreu, EE, formerly of FPL is leading a team to provide a complete range of services for AMI deployment programs across the United States. Nelson and the CE Power team have been able to build upon past experiences in regard to business processes, integration, validation, Field Return/RMA processes, programming, revenue recovery, and reliability engineering to put together a comprehensive program that will enable future clients to leverage the knowledge gained to further enhance their deployment efforts.
The CE Power program includes evaluation engineering tests such as environmental testing, product qualification testing, accelerated aging tests, quality assurance and UPR/RMA. Meter testing would include accuracy testing, validation programs, Public Service Commission mandated testing, high bill investigations, revenue recovery and AMI communications/HAN/Switch testing.
The CE Power team can assist with building the business case, putting together the request for proposal, evaluate technologies, implement the change (including data model and implementation), design a system, work with the client's IT department to allow streamlined data management/evaluation, build financial cases, and then perform all testing and data analysis. By leveraging the turnkey offering by CE Power, clients can avoid the expense of building a dedicated laboratory to accomplished the required tasks associated with the planned large scale AMI deployments over the next few years.
The CE Power AMI team has extensive applied power system engineering experience and has transitioned into metering from roles in Protection & Control, Substation Engineering, SCADA and System Automation. They have worked with one of the largest IOU's in the US and have played key roles in deployment, bring-up and optimization, quality assurance, reliability testing, troubleshooting and failure analysis of the AMI systems with meter counts exceeding 4.3 million residential nodes and 0.38 million commercial and industrial meters. They have also served as technical liaisons when launching internal customer services associated with the deployment of modern metering technologies and related back-office services.
