Ask Miss Maintenance
Dear Ms. Maintenance,
It is finally summertime. How do I prevent my sunglasses from
causing me to breakout where they rub above the bridge of my nose?
Ack! I'm wondering if it's the sunscreen I've added to my daily
routine? Can you recommend one that doesn't feel heavy but is still
effective?
Sincerely,
Breaking Thru Breakouts
Dear Breaking Thru Breakouts,
Special attention always needs to be paid to what we're putting on
our faces, no matter what the season. Certainly the addition of more
sweat and dirt given the warmer weather and time spent outdoors creates
different circumstances. Luckily there's a solution, Anti-Bac Hydrating
Fluid by DerMed. Formulated with Hydrogen Peroxide and Totarol, this
oil-free product works to prevent breakouts and mattify afternoon
shine. Use this in the morning under Sircuit Skin's Day Care Protective Moisturizer with SPF 15. The light formulation is both
hydrating and protective without the added weight of most sunscreens. This combination should help control excess oil while still providing
protection from the sun's harmful rays. Make sure to clean your
sunglasses regularly also. This will help reduce the transfer of
bacteria to your face and nose.
