Ask Miss Maintenance
Dear Miss Maintenance, Can you tell me more about microdermabrasion? I know it's supposed to be great for your skin, but honestly I just don't know much about it. Who can benefit from it? Does it hurt? How often should I come in for a treatment?Sincerely, Microderm Mom
Dear Microderm Mom,
Here's a quick crash course in microdermabrasion to get you up to speed: Microdermabrasion (or "microderm") is a general term for the application of tiny rough grains to buff away the surface layer of skin. The procedure removes some of the skin's other visible imperfections like fine lines, sun damage and blemishes, making way for newer skin cells that look and feel smoother. Microderm is not painful and can be performed on the face, neck, chest, hands and arms. Most skin types can benefit from the procedure. How often you receive treatment depends on your individual skin care needs. I recommend our Princess Peel for maximum results (read above for more details) and our "a la carte" treatments for maintenance (see coupon below).
