Greetings!
It's December. Christmas decorations in stores have already been up since Halloween, so nothing new there. At Simplex-IT, we're torn between making plans for 2012 and recognizing that the Mayan's have it pegged, and we've only got until December 21st 2012 anyway. That puts us in a bit of a difficult situation. When the end of the world is still over a year away, you can't abandon all planning, right?
So we keep going. Going with things like Lunchinars. This month will be fun. That's it, just fun. But for a good cause! See the article (and video) elsewhere here, and bring a friend!
And we're wrapping up a number of projects, as well as getting other projects started. I've heard some people talk about how business slows down towards the end of the year. Boy, that doesn't seem to be happening for us. Thankfully, a lot of the business we're seeing is a direct result of our customers seeing improved business. And our work is taking us remotely to more and more interesting sites. Within the past month we've been working on sites on four different continents. Unfortunately, our clients haven't seen fit to actually send us there. Come to think of it, that's probably just as well.
2010 was a great year for us in terms of growth here at Simplex-IT. Honestly, I didn't really think we would match it in 2011. And I was concerned as to whether or not as a business we would be able to absorb that growth. Well thankfully, (with a little touch of delusion), I'm glad to say that we were able to accomplish and maintain sanity in 2011.
Okay, maybe you'd better ask my wife Julie about the sanity part.
Then again, maybe you better not.
