SBS (Small Business Server) 2008 and EBS (Essential Business Server) 2008 have both been released to manufacturing. The 12 November launch date is fast approaching!
Remember that SBS can handle up to 75 devices/ users. EBS is a larger version that can handle up to 300 PCs.
Both are based on Windows Server 2008 and Exchange Server 2007.

 True Story
Ok, so we've got a new client who has taken advantage of our SiMS (Simplex-IT Managed Services). They're a manufacturing company with two servers and 16 workstations. They pay the same monthly fee for us to monitor and maintain their infrastructure, work with their vendors and monitor their critical applications.
A week or two into working with us, we receive an alert from our monitoring software that the server was running low on disk space for the C drive.
We connect with the server remotely. We free up space. Find the reason that the space was being consumed. Fixed that problem.
Net Result:
Zero downtime
Zero lost productivity
Zero additional cost
With a traditional Break-Fix environment, the customer wouldn't know there's a problem until the drive runs out of space and server crashes. Then the customer contacts Break-Fix Guy. If he's available, wait for him to arrive. He then investigates the problem while your network's down.
