Greetings!

It's that time of year, between April Fools and April 15th.  And it's also time for Simplex-IT to once again let you know what's going on!  This includes a truck event with the help of Microsoft and the Streetsboro Chamber of Commerce.
Microsoft Truck at Streetsboro Meeting!

April 9th meeting is more than just Bob talking at the Streetsboro Chamber of Commerce meeting(thank goodness).  Simplex-IT and Microsoft are rolling into town in a state-of-the-art truck loaded with exciting new technology products that can help you achieve your business goals and increase your pipeline. The Microsoft Across America Truck is a hands-on interactive environment packed with workstations featuring Windows Vista™ and 2007 Microsoft® Office, a Tablet PC, a server and much more.

Come meet with us to experience new live demos and get your business' technology questions answered.  Help Simplex-IT help you!
We're full of it...um, IT...er, Information Technology.  And the fact is, we like to share our knowledge by hosting meetings and speaking and the like.  That's why we're so supporting of User Groups, schools and the like.

We'd like some help.  Please take this quick survey (should take about 5 minutes max), and let us know what kind of new technologies you'd like to hear more about!

Blogs, both Tech and Biz
 2 Blogs from Simplex-IT
Sam and Bob are both trying to share some of their knowledge by starting not one, but two blogs.  One is aimed at more technical topics (www.Simplex-IT.com/TechBlog).  The other is more business-friendly (www.Simplex-IT.com/BizBlog).
Monkey See, Monkey do:  Bob has to be like Sam, adds Windows Server 2008 Certs
Sams new Cert
Bob gets his MCTS for Windows Server 2008
In our last episode, Sam went ahead and became one of the Charter members to achieve Windows Server 2008 MCTS certification.

Well, Bob felt intimidated, and so he went and achieved the same certification.  Bob also feels it necessary to point out that he already has his MCTS in SQL Server and SharePoint.

MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration
and
MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration
and
MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure Configuration
(Notice we're talking 2008, so Simplex-IT is one of the first firms in NorthEast Ohio that has two people certified on Windows Server 2008)
Bob Speaks (part 2)
 Lakeland Students, beware!
Bob will be the main speaker at the upcoming meeting of the NEOSA Lakeland Student Chapter about Microsoft certifications and the Small Business Specialist Partner program on April 28th.

Higher education will never be the same.
Windows 2008 Launch event in Cleveland filled up, people pumped
Did ya go?
Hopefully, you paid attention to our announcements concerning the Microsoft Launch event, and signed up early.  About a week or so prior to the event I received several requests from people wanting to know how to get in...sorry, but that's why we told you to sign up 2 months before the event.

 Pay attention next time!
Everybody walked away with a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate and Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008 and a lunch container that finally gives you someplace to put your chihuahua.
We're Growing!
 (Not just our waistlines)
We're not quite ready to name names or specifics, but look for a new name or two to be added to the Simplex-IT family by next month.
Buy Microsoft Software, get free consulting $!
Microsoft's "Big Easy" an Easy Win-Win
Ok, here's the deal:  Buy your Microsoft software through a Microsoft Partner (like, oh, say...Simplex-IT?).  In return, Microsoft will give you a check made out to that Partner (um...like Simplex-IT?), for you to use with any of the services that Partner provides!

One of our clients recently purchased 4 server licenses and 4 SQL licenses.  They're going to get around $3,000 to spend on Simplex-IT services.  Email Bob for more information, or go to Microsoft's website!
TechNet: Save $100 on new subscriptions!
 Matt Hester's Gift (sorta)
If you've gone to any of the Microsoft TechNet events, you've probably heard Matt Hester speak.  He is agreat speaker.  He's not afraid to go off script to make a point (actually, try keeping him on script...just try it).  Matt's also a great supporter of the User Group communicty.  Anyway, Matt passed on a special deal that Microsoft has regarding their TechNet subscriptions, and a way that new subscribers can save $100.  All you have to do is use promotion code TMSAM09 when you go to purchase the subscription and it will give you the discount.

Click here to get your TechNet Subscription:

Purchase a TechNet Subscription

Then just enter the Promotion Code:  TMSAM09

If you have not checked out what you get with a TechNet Subscription here are a few of the benefits:

·         Full-version software licensed for evaluation purposes; includes Microsoft operating systems, servers, and Office System software as well as Beta software: pre-release versions of Microsoft software to keep up to date on the latest technologies.

·         Two (2) complimentary technical support incidents and a 20% discount on additional phone support incidents you purchase.

And of course you still get the TechNet Library containing the Microsoft Knowledge Base, security updates, service packs resource kits, utilities, technical training, and product documentation to keep your systems and IT skills up to date!!!!

We'd love to hear feedback about this!  Send comments to Bob@Simplex-IT.com, or call us at (216) 453-2682!

Sincerely,
