ElderCare at Home: Making a Difference | |
 June 29, 2010
Dear ElderCare at Home,
My father Charles received 24-hour home health care through your agency for approximately 3 months. The two aides that stayed with my father, Maria and Juanita, were absolutely fantastic. Both Marie and Juanita were gentle, kind, and caring when tending to my fathers needs.
ElderCare at Home afforded me tremendous peace of mind in knowing my father was safe and well taken care of, I would highly recommend ElderCare at Home should another family have a need for excellent and affordable, private duty home care services.
Sincerely,
Beth Krivda |

Caregiving decisions can be hard to make. They are often complicated, involving many different, sometimes conflicting, factors. Consequences can affect other people's lives and health-usually people who are very important to you. They often involve unfamiliar, unexpected circumstances.
And they almost always come with time pressures, emotional pressures, and stress.
Decision making is easier if you take it step-by-step. To read more, click here. If you would like to speak with a Geriatric Care Manager about the unique challenges you are facing as a caregiver, call us toll free at 800-209-4342 |

| Ask the Expert! The Direction of American Elder Care | |
A recent April 2010 sobering article appeared in the AMA News and states that the oldest end of the baby boom generation, people now age 55 to 64, areconsuming health care in greater amounts than same-aged individuals did in prior generations, according to a March report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Health Statistics.
Several studies have suggested that this age group has a higher rate of impairment than did prior generations. One study, published in the April Health Affairs, reported that people age 50 to 64 were more likely to need help with personal care activities because of musculoskeletal conditions, depression, diabetes or nervous system problems.
