The Lowell Area Historical Museum is proud to announce the publication of a new book
Historical BookLowell, a photographic book published by Arcadia Press, has just been released this July. Arcadia Press specializes in local histories featuring photographs. The book is available at local and national book stores and other vendors, bringing increased visibility to our Museum and community. Books purchased directly from the Museum will also generate income to help support our operating expenses.

The book uses over two hundred photographs, many never published before, to explore the history of Lowell. Familiar landmarks such as the Lowell Showboat and Fallasburg Park appear in the book alongside images of lesser known attractions, businesses and scenes. Photographs of Main Street, railroads, schools and churches join residential scenes and pictures of picnics, celebrations and other recreations to populate this new book with a wealth of images from Lowell's past.
