MICHIGAN BEER DINNER -AUGUST 16TH
Presented by the Flat River Grill, 201 E Main Street, Lowell, MI
Frankenmuth Munich Dunkel-This German lager has a distinguished dark appearance and notably smooth malty flavor, balanced by sweet malt & a slightly bitter hop taste that gives it a certain toasted-bread quality. Dunkel served with Knackwurst and Bratwurst, Weiss-BlauBrie / BlauchimmelBrie (Blue Brie) & crust bread with gouda fondue.
Frankenmuth Hefeweizen-A sweet mixture of spices & fruit with hints of clove and banana, this refreshingly pale German wheat is top fermented, unfiltered and lightly hopped to achieve its smooth, pleasant flavor and unmistakable cloudy appearance.Hefeweizen served with soy ginger marinated AhiTuna salad, cucumber, mint, and raw honey coriander syrup.
Arcadia Whitsun-Hazy and cloudy American Wheat brewed with Michigan honey. Summer flavors of orange and coriander fill out this hoppy wheat ale.Whitsun served with papaya tenderized charred flank steak, mango-chilepuree, crispy polenta with cilantro and pepperjackqueso, mango relish.
Arcadia Hopmouth-Deep amber hue with a generous white head, Hopmouth showcases a rich, toasty flavor and a sweet caramel notes as a result of the high-quality malts imported from the UK. The hops are right up front in the aroma, reminiscent of citrus and pine, while the resin-like flavors linger well after the last sip.Hopmouth served with trio of deviled eggs: Wasabi paprika, stone ground grainy mustard & tarragon-lump crab.
Arcadia Coco Loco-A truly one-of-a-kind brew, Arcadia likes to call this their Triple Chocolate Milk Stout. Flavors of baker's chocolate and espresso dominate, while rich malty flavors and a subtle kiss of hops add nice balance. Coco Loco served with Rhubarb-strawberry pudding cake and lemon mint ice cream.
