Dear Theatre Designers and Architects, Your firm has been responsible for designing spaces for the Performing Arts and I want to know about your projects. The United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Architecture Commission is in the process of developing the Architecture Exhibit for the Prague Quadrennial 2011 (PQ2011). Every four years, since 1967, the Prague Quadrennial has presented work from more than 70 countries, from five continents, in individual countries and regions' expositions in three competitive sections - the section of countries and regions, section of theatre architecture and student section. For the US 2011 exhibit I am looking for projects of all scales and types. From the smallest Community Theatre to the large Regional Performing Arts Centers. Showing all user types such as dedicated performances spaces for elementary schools, University Centers, for profit venues and complexes for professional nonprofit groups. All project types, new construction, major renovations, outdoor spaces, nontraditional spaces and spaces I wouldn't of thought to list, for all performance types, drama, music, dance, etc. My goal is to show the world the broad range and the quality of Performing Arts projects built in the United States between 2006 and 2011.
