Here is my new song "Piece of the Sky," for my Musical "TWO VOICES." I can envision this song as being the Opening Number to the Musical with a big chorus of businessmen and women bustling about a city with tons of big skyscrapers in the background. The music is tribal and will be produced with tons of percussion, congas, timpani, gongs....The visual references and metaphors will also be tribal, with businessmen drumming on their briefcases, sizing each other up and putting on their warpaint attire! Let your imagination run wild as you listen!

Bonadies' New Musical "TWO VOICES" - From imagination to reality
Creating things from imagination is every human beings unique gift and birthright! It's an amazing process. For me it starts with an idea, and then I find little clues along the way and try to piece them together to form one cohesive picture. It's like solving a mystery! It's exciting, but at the same time you're always asking yourself if you're on the right track and hoping that everything will come together.
Just this Fall I was inspired by an idea to write a musical called "TWO VOICES." It's based on my lifelong struggle between the voice of my head and the voice of my heart in regards to my music...the head always saying "You're not good enough" and the heart saying "do what you love, you're ok the way you are." The story reaches far beyond the personal as this is a universal struggle. The world too is dominated by the voice of the head, which measures, compares, labels, and operates from fear and sense of lack or wanting. Egos fight against egos resulting in a world full of war, anger, hatred, depression, anxiety, divorce, abuse, road rage, blame, and emptiness. The musical depicts the inherent conflict between these two voices in the personal and universal sense, the repercussions of too much voice of the head, and the salvation found in the voice of the heart! This is ultimately a musical about inner and outer peace!
