"The difference between great people and everyone else is that great people create their lives actively, while everyone else is created by their lives, passively waiting to see where life takes them next. The difference between the two is the difference between living fully and just existing." - Michael E. Gerber, eMyth

Welcome to the New Year!   It's a time to set a new course , give ourselves permission to make change and of course we get to beat ourselves up for not going to the gym (well at least I do!)
All this thought about fitness made me think of my own business.  Is my business fit?  Could it use some more training?  Does it need to get its heart beating?  Can it be stronger?  Are there areas to cut some fat?    It may be good, but what does it take to make it GREAT?
Is it time to...

This year Staying Connected will keep you Connected to top experts and each month a specific topic that will offer you contacts, information, tips, strategies that either support your business or grow your business.

1.     Type, never handwrite.  Double space, use BIG margins, and leave lots of
white space.  Editors use the white space to edit.
2.     Avoid BIG letterheads.  They take up space on the page and can shout, "my
message is weak, but look at my credentials."
3.     Type the press release on your stationery.
4.     Name the contact.  Skip a few lines below the letterhead and list the person
to call for more information.  Listing a home phone (or cell phone / beeper)
in addition to the business number indicates your willingness to be helpful.
It is best to have the contact someone else other than the President or
        owner of the business.
