It has been so nice to run without the cold and it hasn't gotten hot yet. Unfortunately we still have to dodge the rain drops. Soon, it will be perfect training weather. Speaking of training, don't miss out, Rock n Roll Training starts May 31, if you miss the first group run because of vacation plans, you can still join. If you are like me, you can join the training just to get your miles in with other people. As Brooks says...Run Happy!

National Running Day

Get your run on and celebrate the 3rd annual National Running Day
Kick off the day and meet up with fellow runners with a 3 mile run at our Elmhurst Store at 6:30 am followed by bagels and coffee or at 6:30 pm in La Grange followed by snacks.

LUNA Run - Monday, May 13 6:30 pm Join us for a special Luna Run with Nicole DeBoom, CEO and Founder of Skirt Sports, Skirt Chasers 5K and Professional Triathlete. Check out the great styles we carry while your in the store. Free gift with any purchase of Skirt Sports. We will run 3 miles with Nicole and have a short talk after the run. Run departs from the La Grange store at 6:30 pm. Nicole is n extraordinary, accomplished athlete in water sports who qualified for the '88 Olympic swimming trails, DeBoom went on to swim varsity at an ivy league school. Catching the triathlete bug in 1999, DeBoom went on to secure first place wins in Boulder, Chicago and Memphis eventually finishing in the top 20 at the legendary Hawaii Ironman World Championship. During a run in 2004, Nicole had an epiphany during a run: Why couldn't workout apparel be fun, feminine and performance-based? A few months later she designed a woman's running skirt and in 2004 launched Skirt Sports Inc., which has been growing ever since. |
