The River Ranch
Exciting news! Our contract for the ranch has been accepted and we are now in the process of securing a loan from the bank. It had to go before a judge, who signed the papers and ordered the sale, but there are 13 heirs involved and they have 45 days in which to protest the sale. If there are no protests we will proceed to closing sometime in May or June. If there are protests then we will again wait for the court to rule.

This has been a time of waiting and trusting in God for Allan and me. This is a major purchase and not only requires that we trust Him to get the property but that we will also be able to make the payments. Our faith is building with each step we take. I guess if faith was easy everyone would be full of it. As it is, God seems to take us from one level of faith to another, higher level, and life is all about stepping up and forward. We encourage each of you to rise to the challenge of trusting God for the seemingly impossible. If He leads you in a direction you can learn to trust Him to take you all the way.

Meat Shortages
As many of you are aware, we have been running short on many cuts of meat this past month. We are working to alleviate the problem but it will take some time. Demand has exceeded our supply and unlike many businesses we are not able to just manufacture more product.

Right now the website indicates that we will have meat available to ship on March 5th, this coming Monday. While this is true, the orders we already have in house will quickly exhaust this supply and we will be back in the same boat again. We had a processing date scheduled for tomorrow, March 2nd, but our processor's mother died somewhat unexpectedly this week and our processing date has been delayed. We will find out next week when we will be taking more animals in, and will post that information on the website. Working with a small producer like ourselves, as well as a small processor, can have its drawbacks and we sincerely appreciate your patience as we work through the problems.

40% Off Your Pagosa Visit
Since the ski area generally closes in early April and the campgrounds are not open yet, April is a fairly quiet time of the year in Pagosa. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in a lovely condo this is the time, and this is the place. For the month of April we are offering the Wyndham timeshare opportunity at 40% off the regular price.

Check out the website for more information and pricing. While it only shows weekly rates, two, three, four and five day visits are also available, so if this works better for you give me a call and I will get a price for you. Many folks have already taken advantage of this amazing offer and are astounded at the tremendous value we are able to offer. In many cases I have been able to get 2 and 3 bedroom, fully equipped condos, for around $50 per night. Wyndham has been remodeling and refurnishing about half of their condos in the last month or so and these will all be available in April. So take advantage of this opportunity to see one of the most beautiful places in all of Colorado.

March Madness Special
For March we have put together a lamb and beef package that is sure to blow you away! In our March Madness Package you will receive 4 pounds of Loin Chops, 4 pounds of Lamb Shanks, 4 pounds of Beef Kabob, 3 pounds of Chuck Eye Steaks, 2 pounds of Bottom Round Steaks, 8 pounds of Chuck Roasts, and 2 pounds of Flat Iron Steaks, all for $235, INCLUDING FREIGHT, to any 2 or 3 day UPS Ground destination. (For a small additional charge we will ship this package to our UPS Second Day Air customers. Just call or email for a shipping quote.)

Great opportunity to get a nice package of meat for a very reasonable price. Again, this offer is good only as long as supplies last, so place your order soon for guaranteed delivery.

Free Range Eggs
Our chickens are laying and we now have a limited supply of free range eggs available to our local customers only. These are not available to ship with out of town orders since those orders go out frozen. The cost is $4.00 per dozen. Please call or email us to place your order and we will have them ready for pickup on Mondays at our warehouse, 140 Seminole, Unit 8.

Don't want to toot our own horn too loudly, but these are the richest and best tasting eggs we have seen or eaten in years. The "cage free" and "free range" eggs available in the grocery pale by comparison.

In Closing ...
The winter snows are still gracing Pagosa with a lovely blanket of white, but we are looking forward to spring and the chance to get started on our many ranch projects. Allan is headed for Oklahoma tomorrow for a few weeks of working with the cattle and fixing fences. We are all looking forward to an amazing 2012. As they say, the future's so bright we have to wear shades. Hope you are also doing well. May God bless you and your family.

Lois, Allan, Lisa, Dusty, & Angela
