Lots of Moisture! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a snowy, but beautiful January here in Pagosa
Springs. Wolf Creek Ski Area is proud to once again
have the most snow and the best powder in
Colorado. If you have never skied Wolf Creek you
really ought to put it at the top of your vacation list.
Folks that come into my gift store are always saying
how impressed they are with the town and the ski
area.
We received over 3 feet of snow in one storm, and at least another foot a few days later. It transformed Pagosa into a true winter wonderland. The photo here is of Allan, Lisa and the grandkids sledding down the road at our main pasture lease here in Pagosa. They really got some speed going and had a fabulous time. I held the camera and had no trouble at all resisting any urge to try it myself.

Spring Break in Mexico ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Allan's niece is getting married on February 27th in
Isla Mujeres, Mexico, and Allan and I will be attending.
Besides not wanting to miss a good party, it did not
take a lot of arm twisting to make the decision to go.
We will actually be gone for 11 days and are staying at
the Grand Mayan Riviera in Cancun. We are both
really looking forward to it.
Unless Lisa and her husband decide at the last minute to join us, she will be here to take and fill orders. Should anything change we will let you know.

Packing Your Orders ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lisa, Allan and Lisa's daughter Reece are busy
packing
your orders. The walk in freezer is set to 20 degrees
below zero, so Lisa cannot dress warm enough to
withstand the cold. Needless to say she is glad when
the orders are pulled and ready to go each week.
Reece, on the other hand, thinks being allowed to go into the freezer is one of life's great joys. She gets so excited when mom lets her go in. I suspect in a few years that will wear off. However, Lisa's son, Kyler, at 7 years old still thinks going with grandpa to work with the animals is about the best thing in life. We really hope that never wears off.

Best Ground Beef Recipe Contest ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Got a great ground beef recipe? We would love to
have you submit it for our "Best Ground Beef Recipe
Contest." Just email that recipe to us by March 15th,
and we will announce the winner in April. First place
winner will receive 10 free pounds of ground beef with
their next order, and runner up will receive 5 free
pounds. So if you think you have a good recipe,
please send it to us. We will publish the best of the
recipes in our newsletter for all to enjoy.
Judging will be done by a completely impartial group of judges - Allan, Lisa and me! Our decision is final even if it makes no sense whatsoever. We are really looking forward to this contest and hope you will participate. If it goes well we hope to do more recipe contests in the future.

again we need to find a way to slow time down or it
