Joining Hands Kids Camp - Big Success!

Holiday - Over 100 children enjoyed a week of fun-filled summer camp from July 28 to August 1.  In a united effort, some 224 volunteers joined hands to provide a fun-filled day camp for impoverished and financially burdened families with children from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Hosted by the Community United Methodist Church in Holiday,  the children received a full breakfast and lunch, filled back-packs, a full day of learning actitivies and Bible programs.

A few of the many churches and organizations that united to put on the camp include; many area United Methodist Churches, The Women of Hope - United Church, Idlewild Baptist Church, Solid Rock Victorious Church, The Salvation Army, the Coalition for the Homeless of Pasco County, West Pasco Habitat for Humanity, the United Way of Pasco County and Morton Plant Mease Parish Nurse Services.  Several individuals and business participated including Publix, Walgreens, McDonalds, and CARES of Tampa.  Collaboration Works!
