| A Newsletter from SACC Washington DC | Volume 28, December 2011 |
Dear Members,
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation for your membership in the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce of Washington, DC during the past year. Thanks to your participation, we have had a successful year and look forward to an even better 2012.
We kicked off 2011 with our Annual Meeting in January and continued throughout the year to provide our members with a good blend of social networking along with business and professional development through our program of breakfast speakers, seminars, and business clubs. Highlights of the past year included a half-day seminar with Volvo Car Corporation on electrification and safety with new CEO Stefan Jacoby, the Crayfish reception sponsored by Volvo Group North America, a corporate luncheon with Swedish Trade Minister Dr. Ewa Björling, a private meeting with His Royal Highness Prince Daniel of Sweden discussing the issues of lobbying, and of course the Swedish Embassy Open golf tournament sponsored by Nammo, Skanska, Saab, Volvo Cars, and many others. We ended the year on a high note with the annual SACC-DC - Ericsson Holiday Celebration on December 1st which draws a larger crowd each year!
Given that we are approaching December, it's time for everyone to renew their membership for next year. Our planning for 2012 is well underway and the program already includes visits by a number of dignitaries, and many interesting and relevant events and activities.
By now you should have received your dues statement in the mail for membership with the rates kept the same as last year. As an incentive to remit in a timely manner, any member renewing their membership before January 31st will receive an American/Swedish flag lapel pin. Make sure to take advantage of this nice offer and renew now.
In closing, thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you at our events next year.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, Brad Olson at (202) 420-2684 (olsonb@dicksteinshapiro.com) or our Executive Director, Maja Persson, at (202) 536-1570 (maja.persson@sacc-dc.org). We wish you and your family and friends very Happy Holidays and a Joyous New Year / God Jul och Gott Nytt År.
Sincerely,
Bradley J. Olson

Ms. Baffer has provided lots of support to SACC-DC throughout the years and will be greatly missed. Ms. Baffer will be succeeded by Mr. Bruce Gustafson who also attended the event.
