Introduction

Dear all,

We would like to extend a  warm thank you to all the brave players who defied the rain and participated in this year's Swedish Embassy Open.  The record turnout showed that this is a truly dedicated group of golfers who could care less about inclement weather. As one of the players put it: a day at the golf course if always better than a day at the office, in any weather!  We would also like to warmly thank our sponsors for making this event possible.

We had a record number of female players this year making the tournament more fun and showing that our new rule from last year giving teams with a female player a 2-stroke handicap was a success.

A special thanks goes out to our Platinum Sponsor Nammo AS as well as our three gold sponsors Skanska, Saab and Volvo Car Corporation together with Martens Volvo. It certainly gives the tournament a level of excitement to have a hole-in-one car on the course.

Last but not least we would like to thank Ambassador Jonas Hafström and his wife Eva for opening up their home to us for the wonderful evening reception and award ceremony. Chef Frida Johansson had composed and cooked an amazing and delicious buffet dinner that surely satisfied all the hungry golfers.

As for the results of the tournament, please find below a presentation of all the winners as well as a complete list of results. To view all the photos taken at the tournament, please click this link: SEO 2011 PHOTOS

If you have ideas and suggestions for how to make this event better, please don't hesitate to contact any of the members of the golf committee below.

Again, thanks to all players and sponsors and if you were not able to participate this year, we hope to see you at the SEO of 2012. Why not mark the date in your calendar already now?!

SEO 2012: Thursday, 25th of October.

Best regards,

The SACC-DC Golf Committee
