Happy New Year!

Greetings!

          Ok, so it's winter and its cold and snowy! I live in Massachusetts and we've gotten a lot of snow this year thus far, and its only mid- January! Many of the areas that I have traveled to are also blanketed with the white stuff, and while its beautiful to look at, it sure is difficult to travel around! I spent some time at the beginning of this month in Grinnell, Iowa - the location of the first home for pregnant teen mothers- the Jewel House, and was it ever cold! The average temperature while I was there was -5!    Getting back into MA, with temperatures in the 20's was a treat!

I want to make sure you are staying warm, and enjoying those cozy moments this kind of weather allows us to make time for! So stay cuddled up with your family, and loved ones- and enjoy as the spring and summer months are times for being on the go!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, I know I truly enjoyed mine as I was home for quite a few weeks this year and got to enjoy the holidays with those I hold near and dear.

Stick to those resolutions people!   Make a go of them, and have a very Happy New Year!!

Jeff spent a week in Grinnell, Iowa meeting the community members and looking for that perfect location for the first home for pregnant teen mothers, The Jewel House. JYI has assembled a wonderfully talented and diverse Board, an outstanding Director, and the beginnings of a wonderful staff for this heart-felt and gratifying project. We look forward to sharing stories and progress with you in the coming months.
