Atlantic Union Conference Statement on Women in Ministry  
At its regularly scheduled quarterly meeting on May 10, 2012, the Atlantic Union Conference Executive Committee voted the following statement regarding women in ministry.

ATLANTIC UNION CONFERENCE
STATEMENT ON WOMEN IN MINISTRY

Recognizing the current discussions and the value of women in ministry within the North American Division, the Atlantic Union Conference Executive Committee voted the following statement:

WHEREAS the Atlantic Union Conference and its member conferences and organizations have benefitted from the faithful service and commitment of women in ministry, including evangelistic, pastoral, educational and other roles at all levels of the church and school system, and

WHEREAS the Atlantic Union Conference recognizes itself as a part of the Seventh-day Adventist church, and will act in harmony with its decisions taken during the General Conference in business session, it is therefore

RESOLVED, that the Atlantic Union Conference, in harmony with the scriptural mandates of the priesthood of all believers, is committed to supporting, empowering and celebrating women in ministry.

Hanson Place Students Visit Atlantic Union Office
Three students from Hanson Place church, along with the principal Raymond Dixon, visited the Atlantic Union Conference office on May 10. The students, two preachers, Charles and Anthony, and singer Triyonn, made presentations to the Atlantic Union Conference Executive Committee during the report given by the Office of Education directors and staff. The members of the Hanson Place Seventh-day Adventist Young Preachers' Club are being taught not only how to excel academically, but spiritually, as well.
May 15 is the Deadline for Ordering The Great Hope
May 15 is the deadline for ordering The Great Hope sharing book at the prepublication price of $.39 per book (+S&H). This price is available to any entity or individual. You can place orders for English, French or Spanish translations of The Great Hope directly with local Adventist Book Centers (800-765-6955). Books will be printed on May 15 and will be available to everyone through the Adventist Book Centers beginning June 15.
How You Can Get Involved in NY13
  Everyone can get involved in the NY13 initiative. You can:
 * Become one of more than 5,000 prayer intercessors
* Assist at an evangelistic meeting site close to where you live
* Get training as a Bible worker and give Bible studies
* Distribute literature
* Witness to others
* Make a financial contribution

Women's Ministries Emphasis Day - June 9
This year, June 9 is designated Women's Ministries Emphasis Day. The theme for 2012 is "Our Testimonies: God's Delight."
